The Mysterious Night And Fierce Battle Among Believers
This is that inevitable mystery, a mystery so untold to the earthly populace, that same mystery that defiles man’s comprehension of reasons behind physical occurrences. Even the great philosophers and most theologians of time have many times been misdirected in their quest to assert the reason why things happen the way they happen physically.
Looking through your window as the morning ripens, you will notice some changes, like; the dew that roll down the screens of your glass windows, the changing cloud, the fading darkness and the weary mosquito on the floor that had been busy all through the night. This is only what our physical eyes can see normally.
But for those that are born of the spirit of God. Romans 8:5 “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.” There’s a lot more to observe. There is another realm of spiritual changes that had occurred while men arose. Matthew 13:25 “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way” That is the time when devils program all through the night begins to manifest.
That’s the time when zealous evangelists become news casters for football clubs, 2 Timothy 2:4 “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier” That’s the time when spirit filled pastors becomes empty Revelation 3:2 “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.”
That’s the time when new converts becomes new constraints. That’s the time when fire brand prayer warriors decides to try out just one deadly movie, Galatians 5:1 “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” 2 Peter 2:20 “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.” That’s when Christians hardly pray and even if they do, it’s with limitations, 1 Corinthians 13:1 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.“ Psalms 66:18 “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”

Now is the battle against Satan and his cohorts ever tougher and deadly than before Revelation 13:11 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon” A lot of gallant soldiers of Christ have fallen just that careless morning when they couldn’t watch. Luke 12:37 “Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them” .
Some heroes are already injured and are spiritually tired of fighting. Just a selected few are still fighting bravely in the battle field . Daniel 11:32 “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits” The devil knows the scriptures and studies them carefully and knows that the rapture of the saints is here and has already intensified his attacks on Heaven bound Christians Revelation 12:12. “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time”
He first attacks their faith in Jesus Christ by decreasing their study of God’s word and subsequently their praying power. Proverb 24:33 “A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest” Oh. To our bewilderment, many praying men and women have decided to take a little spiritual rest in the battle field where the devils’ fiery darts still flies concurrently all over the front-line of the battle field.
The bible says Ephesians 6:11-18 “Put on the whole Armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places., Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand., Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; , And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;, Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked., And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,, Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints”
The question is “Are you still fighting the battle of faith”. In 2 Timothy 4:7, Apostle Paul affirmed that “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”. The holy scripture says “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness”. What a pity the warriors’ amour has been punctured by sin (especially secret sin).
Those soldiers have drank the vinegar kept for him at the den of their enemies. That praying woman has spared that male foe because he enticed her and she thought of having him all to herself, Proverb 16:29 “A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.” Jeremiah 20: 10 “For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.” James 1:14 ” But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.”
Whereas this is not allowed in the battle field. If you are a faithful soldier in the open will you also be faithful in the closet. When the master returns will he find you sleeping, Philippians 2:12 “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time”.
