Some are in spirit form; while some are in spirit form and manifest time to time in human form [as in the case of Abraham in Genesis 18,19, and also with Jacob when he wrestled with the Angel, judges 13.], while some are in human flesh, born of human mothers for a season.
There are Angels who measure all things in heaven and on earth, just as there are angels who are appointed over seasons, months, weeks, days, hours and seconds. There are angels who are over the air, rivers and sea, and those who are over the fruits of the earth, beasts of the field; over every grass fields and nature in general.
All Angels have wings, confirmed in (Dan 9:21; Rev 14:6), where angels are represented as “flying”). The cherubim and seraphim are represented as winged (Exo 25:20; Isa 6:2).
Enoch 69.22 And likewise the spirits of the water, of the winds, and of all the breezes, and their paths, according to all the groups of the spirits.
69.23 And there are kept the storehouses of the sound of thunder, and of the light of the lightning; and there are kept the storehouses of the hail, and the hoarfrost, and the storehouses of the mist, and the storehouses of the rain and dew.
There are also Female Angels according to Enoch 73 and the book of Zechariah 5:9.
CATEGORIES OF HOLY ANGELS:
- Cherubim – Ezekiel 10, Psa_80:1, Eze_10:1, Isa 37:16, Gen 3:24, Eze 28:14 (These are the Living Creatures- Eze_10:20; they have Four pairs of Wings)
- Seraphim – Isaiah 6:2 (These have Six pairs of Wings and they are the Four Beast- Rev_4:8).
NOTE: The Living Creatures of Isaiah 6:2-3, Rev and Beast are the Seraphim and Cherubim. They move like Lightnings (Eze 1:14).
- Ophannim (Wheels with many Eyes) – (Ezekiel 1:16-18, Ezekiel 10:9).
- Watchers – Daniel 4:13,17,23. (Why are they called (Watchers and Holy Ones)? Because they sanctify the body and the spirit with faithful wounds and with fire on the third day of the judgment, for it is written (Hos. 6: 2): “After two days will he revive us: on the third he will raise us up, and we shall live before him.”)
- Thrones, Col 1:16
- Thunders – Rev 10:3-4
- Stars (Special Angels) – Rev 1:20
- Dominions, Col 1:16
- Principalities, Col 1:16, Rom 8:38
- Powers – Col 1:16, Rom_8:38
- Archangels – 1 Thessalonians 4:16, Jude 1:9
- Angels – Rom 8:38, Mat 13:41
EXPLAINING RANKS AND CATEGORIES OF ANGELS
There are (3) three types of Angels who are ministers and keepers of the Throne of God: the “Cherubim”, “Seraphim” and “Ophannim” [Wheels].
The Seraphim and Cherubim have features signifying the ministerial power of the Messiah.
The four Seraphim each had a different animal form, while the Cherubim each had a face of each Seraph.
Hence, the four Seraphim each has a form: (1st Seraph)- A man-like form, (2nd Seraph)- A Lion, (3rd Seraph)- A Bull form, (4th Seraph)- An Eagle form. On the other hand, each Cherub had four faces on his body - a face of a man, a lion, a bull, and an eagle.
CHERUBIM – 6 Guardians and Ministers to the Throne
The Cherubim are holy beings; each having four faces and four pairs of wings. Though the misunderstanding led many to believe that each has (4) single wings, it is not four single but four pairs. The four pairs of a Cherub’s wings represents the four Season, and the four corners of the earth. Number 4 represents times and seasons.
They are bearers and guardians to the Throne of God and defenders of his honor and glory, and executioners of His righteous judgement in the heavens and the Earth.
They are also the guardians of Paradise, the Garden of Eden, Genesis 3:24: “He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life.” These angels guarded the Garden and held a flaming sword.
They are part of the Governmental Council of Heaven, along with the 24 Elders, the Seraphim, Ophannim and Elohim.
They are the ones who carry the Throne wherever the Most High decides to go. 2 Samuel 22:11 confirms the cherubim as God’s attendants when He comes to the aid of people (also Psalm 18:10).
In Exo 37:8, Exodus 25 and Kings Ch.6, only two Cherubim were mention. These two beings are called “Covering Cherubim,” positioned on each side of the throne. Psalms confirms this by saying God’s throne dwells between two Cherubim; [Psa 80:1; Psa 99:1; 1Sa 4:4].
Lucifer had this position before he fell – Eze 28:14, “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth”.
However, in Ezekiel Ch.1 and Ch.10, the Scriptures speak of four Cherubim called, “the Four Living Creatures”.
These four Cherubim are stationed under a firmament, a paved work of sapphire, as a sea of glass. Hezekiah prayed, stating, “O Lord, the God of Israel, enthroned above the cherubim, you are the God, you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth” (2 Kings 19:15).
The two Cherubim of Exodus and the four Cherubim of Ezekiel reveals that there are (6) six Cherubim altogether. Interestingly, the book of Enoch spoke of the Cherubim, and mentioned six in number.
What do the Cherubim look like?
Eze 1:5, I saw what looked like four living creatures in human form,
Eze 1:6 but each of them had four faces [Eze 1:6, Eze 1:15, Eze 10:14, Eze 10:21] and four wings.
Eze 1:7 Their legs were straight, and they had hoofs like those of a bull. They shone like polished bronze.
Eze 1:8 In addition to their four faces and four wings, they each
had four human hands, one under each wing.
Eze 1:10 As for the likeness of their faces,
they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion,
on the right side:
and they four had the face of an ox and the face of an eagle on the left side.
These Living Creatures are like pillars of fire and a burning lamps, and work hand in hand with the Seraphim, and another category of Angels called the “Ophannim” or Wheel; [Ezekiel 1:16]. These form the fiery minister of the Throne of God.
These Cherubim work alongside the Wheels and are the Ministers to the Throne. Psalms 104:4, “Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire”. Ezekiel 1:13, “As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps:”
- MYSTERIES OF THE ARK AND CHERUBIM
On the Ark of the Covenant, there were two cherubim, one on each side. Angels were statues on the Ark because the revelations of God were sealed in secrecy in mysteries.
The ministry of the Cherubim was not functional in the lives of the Saints because the mysteries of God were still concealed.
The Cherubim were represented on the Ark in the form of statues, which means they were as non-functional agents; and therefore could not transmit the mysteries of God.
Now that the mysteries have been revealed and opened, we are graced to become instruments of Angelic service.
When Christians are not walking in sanctification, the service of the Cherubim remained an emblem to them. This means the Word of God is still coded to them.
When these mysteries were released, the prophecy came to pass that says in Jeremiah 31:33, “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
The mysteries of God must be explored and received, or the Angels will be sculptured to us. No revelation will mean no signs and wonders; because signs and wonders always follow revelations.
On the Ark, the Cherubim guarded (3) three things; The Manna [which is the precious Word of God revelations and mysteries]; the Tablets of Testimonies [which is the testimony of Christ- the spirit of prophecy]; and the Rod of Aaron that budded [representing the anointing of the fruits of the Spirit to cultivate the fruits of Christ through divine fertility of the Saints].
The Seraphim [plural Seraph] mean “the burning one”.
There are four (4) Seraphim, corresponding to the four winds of the Earth and the four seasons: “Spring”, “Summer”, “Autumn” and “Winter”.
The “Four Seraphim” of Isa 6 are the same “Four Beast” of Rev 4:6,8 (KJV); each having 6 pairs of wings and a form different from the other and cries holy holy holy day and night.
Compare:
- ISAIAH 6:2-3, “Above it stood the Seraphim; each one had six wings. And one cried to another, and said, “Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts;”
- REVELATION 4:8, “And the four living creatures, having each one of them six wings, are full of eyes roundabout and within: and they have no rest day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God, the Almighty…”
More detail was given about the Seraphim in Rev 4 Vs.6, “…four living creatures full of eyes before and behind”.
Vs.7, “And the first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face as of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle.
The six (6) winged beings of revelation 4 which is seen in Isaiah 6 tells us that they are the one and same Seraphim Angels.
The six pairs of wings are corresponding to the six days of Creation. In all, the six pairs of a Seraph’s wings amount to 12 single wings, representing the 12 foundations of the New Jerusalem and the 12 gates of that holy City. 12 represents governmental authority.
They cover their faces with two pairs (a token of humility); with two pairs they cover their feet (a token of reverence and with two pairs they flew.
Seraphim are part of the Governmental Council of Heaven, along with the 24 Elders, the Cherubim, Ophannim and Elohim.
These are ministers of God’s holiness, (Rev 4:6 -8) and have a close relationship with the 24 Elders, forming the symphony of an inner circle of worship choir, (Rev 5:6, Rev 5:8, Rev 5:14, Rev 7:11, Rev 14:3, Rev 19:4).
- As Worshippers – Rev 19:4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
- Executers of Judgement – Rev_15:7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
The Seraphim are responsible for presenting the prayers of the Saints to the Throne of El-Shaddai- Rev 5:8, “And when he had taken the book, the four beasts [Seraphim] and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints.
These are ministers of God and dwells above the throne, (Isa 6:1-2) and are the spirits who purifies the Saints of God and prepare them for the rapture (Isa 6:6).
Why are they called Seraphim? The Book of 2nd Enoch explains it. “Because they burn (saraph) the writing tables of Satan : Every day Satan is sitting, together with SAMMAEL, the Prince of Rome, and with DUBBIEL, the Prince of Persia, and they write the iniquities of Israel on writing tables which they hand over to the Seraphim, in order that they may present them before the Holy One, blessed be He, so that He may destroy Israel from the world. But the Seraphim know from the secrets of the Holy One, blessed be He, that he desires not, that this people Israel should perish. What do the Seraphim? Every day do they receive (accept) them from the hand of Satan and burn them in the burning fire over against the high and exalted Throne in order that they may not come before the Holy One.”
The Ophannim [plural for Ophan] can be called Angels but are not classifies as Angels; but are a class of celestial beings who along with the Cherubim and Seraphim never sleep but guard the throne of God. [Enoch 17:7, Rev 4:1-9]
They are also part of the Governmental Council of Heaven, [Psalms 82:1] along with the 24 Elders, the Cherubim, Seraphim and Elohim.
They are (4) four in number and are also called “Galgallim”, [singular: galgal] – which is translated as “spheres”, “wheels”, “whirlwinds”; and refers to the fiery flaming eye-covered wheels seen in (Ezekiel 1) and (Daniel 7:9).
They were positioned next to the Cherubim, beneath the throne of God, and move together with the Cherubim because the spirit of the Cherubim is in them. Both Cherubim and Ophannim are carriers of the throne of God.
This is the description of the Ophannim -Eze 1:16, “The appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was the color of beryl, and the four of them had one likeness. And their appearance and their workmanship were like a wheel in the middle of a wheel”.
In the book of 2nd Enoch, it says, Ophannel is one great prince, revered, high, fearful, ancient and strong. He has sixteen faces, four faces on each side, and hundred wings on each side.
The late Second Book of Enoch 20:1, 21:1 also referred to them as the “many-eyed ones”.
The Principalities are of the Princely rank, and by interpretation is translated “Rule”, “first estate,” and is from the Greek “Archai”.
They are special forces Angels in Heaven who are Princes, from which you get the word “principalities”, and they carry out the Principles of the King and the Kingdom.
There are 24 Principalities; 12 who rule the nights of the 12 months of the year and 12 who rule the daytime of the 12 months of the year. Hence each of the 12 months has two Principalities ruling, one over the daytime and the other over the nighttime. Lucifer was an Angel of the Day, called the day star and the Devil was an Angel of the night. Therefore, people who wants to make packs with the Devil goes in the midnights. The Devil is the Prince of darkness.
Michael is one of the Princes (Dan 10:21) but is a chief prince (Dan 12:1,Dan 10:13), which means he is prominent among the other princes. All principalities [Princes] are archangels, not all archangels are princes. Therefore, Michael the archangel is one of the 12 Principalities, and is one of the 7 main archangels and is also one of the four (4) angels of God’s presence. These four Angels are not just four princes but are the four Chief Princes.
These principalities rule over nations on the Earth, Daniel 12:1, “And at that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people [Israel].”
The Principalities were all worship leaders, but Lucifer was the head leader (Ezekiel 28:13).
Take note, some of these principalities were cast out of Heaven during the rebellion and are now fighting against God. We can see in scriptures that some still rule over nations.
Daniel 10:20, “And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia. And when I go forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come.”
Also, we see in Daniel 9:26, “the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.” It says, the people of the prince, who prince? It speaks of the Devil, the prince of darkness who was once a Seraph.
Eph 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The class of Principalities is one of the four classes of Rebel Angels ruling in the heavenly [Cosmic] World.
The Principalities are all archangels, but not all archangels are principalities.
Among the Principalities who still work in Heaven, there are few who are Seraphim, Cherubim.
E.g., Michael is an archangel because he commands Angels, but he is a principality and one of the 7 watchers.
There are many Archangels. Among the Archangels, there are (7) seven chief Archangels as written in 2Enoch 19. This is confirmed in Rev 8:2, “And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.”
This is confirmed in 1Thessalonians 4:16, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God.”
This clearly shows that the archangels are the ones who hold the trumpets [horns], therefore, we confirms 7 archangels who hold the 7 trumpets and they are the chiefs.
They are ruling Angel who are over the lower sects of Angels, and are over the government of the world, who also make commandments and instruction when they see evildoing according to Enoch 19.2. Some of these archangels are principalities.
These Seven Angels in Rev 8 are the same Archangels, in Enoch who are assigned to sound the trumpets of the End Time, (Tribulation Period and the Rapture). They are mentioned also in 1Thess 4:16 and are leaders of the fiery troops of great archangels.
The Seven Archangels of Enoch and Rev 8 are all involved in the affairs of man and the earth, and are identified as the “Seven Head Watchers”, (Enoch 20). They presides over the earthly realm; over all life in heaven and on earth, over the angels who are appointed over seasons and years, over the angels who are over rivers and sea, and who are over the fruits of the earth. Also, over the angels who are over every grass, and the angels who write all the souls of men, and all their deeds, and their lives before the Lord’s face.
Therefore, 12 of these archangels are principalities, and 7 out of these principalities are the 7 Watchers.
The Seven Chief Arch-Angels are:
- 1). Archangel Uriel, – Flame of God One of the holy angels, who is over the world and over Tartarus. Uriel is a chief Prince over the Luminaries or Lights. Uriel means Flame or Fire of EL(GOD).
- 2) Archangel Raphael, – God who heals. One of the holy angels, who is over the spirits of men;
- 3) Archangel Raguel, – Friend of God. One of the holy angels who takes vengeance on the world of the luminaries.
- 4) Archangel Michael, (Who is like God) – Michael is a chief prince over the Nation of Israel, and leader of the Warring Angels. Exodus, we will we see that an Angel was personally assigned to guard and lead the children of Israel. This Angel is none other than the Guardian Angel of Israel – Michael the Archangel. He reserved the right as an Archangel, a chief Prince to execute judgements.
Exo 23:20, “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared”.
Exo 23:21, “Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him”.
Exo 23:22, “But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.”
Exo 23:23, “For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.”
According to the Book of Enoch 14:3 – 6 Archangel Michael, is also in charge of the “Fragrant trees that surround the 7 mountain where the Lord dwells on the Earth. Vs.4 “And there was among them a tree such as which I have never smelt, and none of them, or any others, were like it. It smells more fragrant than any fragrance, and its leaves, and its flowers, and its wood never wither.”
Michael, is also the Angel of the “Secrets of Mercy”, and the “Secrets of Righteousness”. - 5) Archangel Saraqael, (Captain of the Lord God)- one of the holy angels, who is set over the spirits, who sin in the spirit;
- 6) Archangel Gabriel, (Man of God) – [A Seraph] one of the holy angels, who is in charge Paradise, the Seraphim, and the Cherubim. Gabriel is also one of the 18 rulers of the world and is the angel of the fire and is in charge of all the Powers. (Revelation 1:4 speaks of “the seven spirits before the throne,” revealing that they are in the presence of God. In Luke 1:19, we read of a spiritual being (an angel) who appears to Zacharias and identifies himself as “Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God.” Gabriel is a Seraph and a Cherub, he replaced Lucifer. He is therefore the highest Angel in Heaven after God.
- 7) Archangel Remiel, (Thunder of God) one of the holy angels, whom God set over those who rise.
FOUR ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE – (FOUR SPIRITS) – Zechariah 6:1-5
Out of these seven Head Watchers, there are four chief Archangels who are called the “Four Angels of the Lord”, These are MICHAEL, RAPHAEL, GABRIEL and PHANUEL, who are also over the World.
Enoch 40.9 And he said to me:
This first one, is the Holy Michael, the merciful and long-suffering.
And the second, who is in charge of all the diseases, and in charge of all the wounds of the sons of men, is Raphael. And the third, who is in charge of all the powers, is the Holy Gabriel.
And the fourth, who is in charge of repentance and hope of those who will inherit eternal life, is Phanuel.”
40.10 And these are the four Angels of the Lord Most High; and the four voices that I heard in those days. [Zechariah 6:5, “And the angel answered and said unto me, these are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.”]
Rulers of the World are holy Angels of God who rule over the domain of the World. They stand in opposition to the fallen Rulers of the World who are now called “Rulers of Darkness of this World”, (Eph.6). These angels protects the earth and govern all that goes on within the earthly realm.
The eighteen (18) Angels of God who rules over the World are:
- Gabriel the angel of the fire,
- Baradiel, the angel of the hail,
- Ruchiel who is appointed over the wind,
- Baraqiel who is appointed over the lightnings,
- Za’amiel who is appointed over the vehemence,
- Ziqiel who is appointed over the sparks,
- Zi’iel who is appointed over the commotion,
- Zdaphiel who is appointed over the storm-wind,
- Ra’amiel who is appointed over the thunders,
- Rctashiel who is appointed over the earthquake,
- Shalgiel who is appointed over the snow,
- Matariel who is appointed over the rain,
- Shimshiel who is appointed over the day,
- Lailiel who is appointed over the night,
- Galgalliel who is appointed over the globe of the sun,
- ‘Ophanniel who is appointed over the globe of the moon,
- Kokbiel who is appointed over the planets,
- Rahatiel who is appointed over the constellations.
These are a sect of Angels who are associated with the majesty and revelations of the Throne of God.
Rev 10:4, “And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not”.
It is clear in scriptures that these thunders spoke in words that John understood and had the ability to write what was said.
Ramiel is said to be one of these thunders, as his name means Thunder of God.
Enoch 60.14, “For the thunder have fixed intervals, which have been given to its sound, for waiting. And the thunder and the lightning are not separate although not the same. Through a spirit the two of them move inseparably. 60.15 For when the lightning flashes the thunder utters its voice.”
This divine and angelic operation have been going on for centuries and will continue until Jesus comes back.
These Angels born of earthly mothers are the sect of Angels called the “Stars” and are helpers of the saints of God.] These Angels are on the Earth as Scribes, Agents to the Churches, Aid of men, supporters of the righteous etc.
There is evidence in scriptures where Angels took up human form, and even more specifically were born of human mothers. We are talking about people such as: Jesus, Enoch, Elijah, John the Baptist, and few others who were not actual humans but came from heaven and materialized in human forms.
Deeper information can be found on this page: [Mysteries of Angels born in Human form]
These Angels are the Heavenly Forces who build hedges of fire around God’s servant’s property and even the Church building or gathering. They link together to form an in impenetrable barrier.
If there is sin in the house, this can create a gap among the angels and become a doorway for demonic oppression and attacks in our homes.
WARRING ANGELS
These Angels are specialized to wage war. All Angels are warriors, but some are specifically skilled for warfare. Michael, one of the 7 Archangels is the Head warrior Prince of the Lord’s Hosts, the Armies of God.
In Exodus 23, we we see an Angel being personally assigned to guard and lead the children of Israel. This Angel is none other than the Guardian Angel of Israel – Michael the Archangel who reserved the right a chief Prince to execute God’s judgements.
Exo 23:20, “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.”
These Angels stays outside of the Church building in the air, battling the powers of darkness.
These Warriors are also riders of Heavenly Horses, and Chariots. When these warriors fight on behalf of the Saints, the faith of the Saints plays an important role in the victory of these Angels.
If you fail in faith, the Angels would lose the battle; if you are strong in faith, the Angels would win the battle.
This is the same principle recorded in Exodus 17:11, “Any time Moses held his hands in the air, the men of Israel would start winning the fight. But when Moses put his hands down, the men of Israel began to lose the fight.”
As long our faith is strong and uplifted, we will win and if our faith is weak, we will lose. Take note, when we win a battle, it is not us who won the battle, but it is the Angels of War who won the battle for us.
We should not call upon Angels i.e. Michael or Gabriel to fight for us. We should only call upon God and speak His Word in His name. At the mention of His Word and Name, the Angels immediately harken to the voice of His Word and go into action against demonic forces. [Remember, we must give God’s Word a voice by speaking it; all things in the spirit realm are voice activated.]
All those who are reading this, I speak over your life now and I say, By the fire and by the sword of the LORD God of Israel, you will win all your battles; and the slain of the LORD will be many. I pray and decree this according to the Word of God in Isaiah 66:16. In Jesus Name!
GUARDIAN ANGELS
These angels are assigned to every human being to be an everyday guide. They take detail information about the person’s life and relay it to their heads. These protect the person from accidents, demonic attack and everything that seeks to endanger the life of the person; nevertheless, there may be few instances, where the Angel would stand aside and let certain incidents happen. This may be due to either, the will of God for a certain reason or because of the implementation of the principle of a generational or personal curse. If there is sin in the person’s life, this can create a gap among the angels and become a doorway for demonic oppression and attacks in our homes.
We should not pray to the Angels who are guarding us, neither should we try to use New Age methods to contact our guardian angels. No one is able to communicate with God’s Angels at will. Any communication with Angels outside the glory of God’s grace and Will, is Witchcraft and Divination. To add, at this point you will not be communicating with actual Angels of God, but with demons.
Our duty is to pray to God, and God will send who ever Angels that He so desires.
We also see these Angels in Gen 24:39-40, “And I said to my master, ‘Perhaps the woman will not follow me. And he said to me, ‘The LORD, before Whom I walk, will send His angel with you and prosper your way. And you shall take a wife for my son from my kindred, and from my father’s house.”
MINISTERING ANGELS
One of the most prominent roles of angels on the earth has been assigned over the affairs of God in the Church. All Angels are ministering spirits because they are all assigned to minister to the chosen humans (Hebrews 1:14), however, there are specific Angels who are called “Ministering Angels”, set to be ministers to those who have become Saints of Christ. These Angels are caretakers of the Saints. They are not warrior angels, though they can fight. [Note all Angels in Heaven can fight; whether they are warrior angels or just regular angels who take notes].
The ministering angels reserve judicial rights based on the word of God to execute judgement, disciplinary actions, and administer the necessary virtues needed at that moment for fortification. Mark 1:13, “And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him”. Mat 4:11, “Then the devil leaveth him, and behold, angels came and ministered unto him.”
These Angels comprise of Protecting or guardian Angels, Angels of Records, and Helper Angels, Angels of Healing, Angels of Deliverance, and Angel of Divine assistance and virtue Angels etc. The virtue Angels assist in the salvation of the church by pouring “oils’ upon the heads of the Saints: oils of virtues i.e. oils of peace, oil of gladness (Psa_45:7), oil of strength, oil of ordination, oils for deliverance, oil of purification, oil of grace, oil of love, oil of mercy, oil of compassion, oil of gladness, oil of joy (Isaiah 61:3) etc. Psalms 92:10, “But my horn [strength] shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil”. Psalms 23:5, “You have anointed my head with oil, my cup overflows.”
When a Christian is in intense travail and calls upon God out of a pure and sincere heart to be set free from bondage, the oil of deliverance is poured out.
There are also the ministering Angels of Righteousness in Churches, who give the blessings of biblical Promises. When a person is faithful to the principles of the scriptures, these Angels come to them with blessings. They also minister to the Saints who pay Tithes and opens the gate for the Angels of Tithes to come into the person’s home. Whenever you pay Tithes, (1) one Angel is added to your home or your life. These are Angel who break family ties and ancestral bondages and manipulations in the life of the Christian.
The Devil prevents people from paying Tithes, so there will not be angels to obstruct his demons when they come to destroy.
There are ministering Angels that are reserved in Heaven for greater catastrophes such as high emergencies i.e. Great Hurricanes, Floods, Tsunamis, Earthquakes, and other natural and manmade disasters, whether it is on a territorial, national, or international scale.
Some of these Angels live on the Earth to minister to the Saints as personal Angels, such as in Gen 48:15, “Then he blessed Joseph: “May God, whom my fathers; Abraham and Isaac served, bless these boys! May God, who has led me to this very day, bless them!” Vs.16, “May the angel, who has rescued me from all harm, bless them! May my name and the name of my fathers; Abraham and Isaac live on through these boys!”, [This Angel was an Angel personally assigned by God to live with Abraham all his life for his protection and deliverance]; while some Angels are freshly sent from heaven at a moment of distress, (Psalms 18:16).
The reason why many people are still on bondage, it is because they have not made connection with the Realm of God’s angelic realm. When we under the angelic service by God’s direction, oils are poured upon our heads for service and breakthrough and deliverance.
Many of the Angels who ministers to the Saints lives on the Earth and only goes up to Heaven when they have to. This would bring us to the Angels seen in Jacob’s dream.
- Mysteries of Jacob Ladders
Evidence is also found in Genesis Gen 28, that reveals that many Angels are residents on the Earth – Gen 28:12, “And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
Take note, the Angels were not descending first [which would indicate that they came from above], rather they were first ascending, [which indicated that they were down on the earth and were going up to heaven, and coming back down.]
The Ladder of Jacob’s dream represents Christ who is the staircase of divine and angelic operations between heaven and earth. John 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
This ladder which represent Christ is in the form of a DNA. The mysterious relationship between the DNA and Christ and his Angels is that the DNA of Christ carries the code of divine information, the code to access the mind of God for uninterrupted access to divine interventions and angelic operations. It is the staircase that connects the divine supreme with the human mundane. Therefore, the Angels will ascend and descend for the service of men.
These are the Angels who form the holy Army of God, also called the multitude of Angels, Host of the Lord; hence we have the name YaHUaH Tzavaot [LORD of Host].
The celestial armies of God are confirmed in 2 Kings 6:16, “And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them”.
Vs.17, “And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha”.
We also see in Joshua 5:13, “… And Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?”
VS.14, “And he said, “No; but I am the commander of the army of the LORD. Now I have come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped and said to him, “What does my lord say to his servant?” Vs.15, “And the commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua, “Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy,” [Exodus 3:5]; And Joshua did so”.
It is clear in scripture that this commander was an Angel of God, holding a specific role as Captain of an Army.
The term Host of the Lord should not be confused with the Hosts of heaven. Host of heaven, a term used to classify the celestial bodies i.e. Stars, Planets etc that are used in pagan worship of idolatry.
These are the lights of the 12 Gates or Chambers of the heavens, which rule the days and the nights. They are all governed by Angels. Uriel the Archangel is leader over all the heavenly luminaries both in the heavens and in the world (Enoch 75.3). Angel Uriel is the one the Lord of Eternal Glory has placed in charge of all the Lights of Heaven. There are four heads leaders of the Luminaries, who operate under Uriel, and they are the Angels who watch over the divisions of the 12 stations of the luminaries. Under these four leaders, there are twelve leaders of the orders, who divide the months and the year into 364 days. These control the stars, moon and sun for times and seasons. They are caretakers of the stations of light 11 Enoch 61.10.
These Angels manifest influence and power in carrying out the principles of the principalities. They are the official power to make legal decisions and judgements, and by interpretation is translated “Jurisdiction,” “Delegates,” “Force”, “Capacity”, “Competency”.
The book of Enoch said 40.9, “And the third, who is in charge of all the powers, is the Holy Gabriel.”
“Exousı́ai” and “Dunámeis are also translated “powers” in the Greek version, however, we see that Principalities and Powers are always mentioned together, having Powers coming in second rank.
Col 1:16, “…or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him…”
Col 2:15, “And having spoiled principalities and powers”
Rom 8:38, “nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers”
Eph 6:12, ” against principalities, against powers”
Hence, the rank “Powers” is the delegate of Principalities.
THRONES – These are Angels who rules as Councils of heaven. They are like kings.
DOMINIONS – This rank is lower than the principalities. They are Angels who build strong hold over nations etc. They work under the Principalities and influence dominance over governments and rulers in a nation.
2Peter 2:10, “and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.”
Jude 1:8, “Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.”
This confirms that the Dignities are indeed Dominions, and are associated with Governments.
There are Angels over every part of Creation and nature and this is confirmed in:
Revelation 16:5, “And I heard the Angel of the waters say”,
Revelation 14:18, “And another Angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire”
However, in the Book of Enoch chapter 60 detailed information is given on this subject.
Enoch 60.16 And the spirit of the sea is male and strong, and according to the power of its strength, the spirit turns it back with a rein, and likewise it is driven forward, and scattered amongst all the mountains of the Earth.
60.17 And the spirit of the hoarfrost is its own Angel; and the spirit of the hail, is a good Angel.
60.18 And the spirit of the snow has withdrawn because of its power, and it has a special spirit, and that which rises from it is like smoke and its name is frost.
60.19 And the spirit of the mist is not associated with them in their storehouse but has a special storehouse; for its course is glorious both in light and darkness, and in winter and in summer, and its storehouse is an Angel.
60.20 The spirit of the dew has its dwelling at the ends of Heaven and is connected with the storehouses of the rain. And its course is in winter and in summer and its clouds. And the clouds of the mist are associated and one gives to the other.
60.21 And when the spirit of the rain moves from its storehouse the Angels come and open the storehouse and bring it out.
