The act of serving God while maintaining pure holiness and righteousness is to fulfilled all manners of obedient of the Lord. We are created to serve God and only him alone. However, the Lord has promised unto us an eternal resting place which is known as Heaven. In order to attained or qualify unto such precious place, ones has to earn it.

Therefore every Christians is expected to work zealously on how they can lay up heavenly treasure for themselves above, without fainting in heart or faith because eternity race is almost near. Every christian is mandated to built up multiples treasure in heaven at the expenses of their earthly endeavors. Heavenly treasure is glorious and priceless because it required consistent labor and zealous in the service of the Lord. below is a short recap story of a beloved sister who’s aim is to set-up heavenly treasure above for herself.

Hence, after her earthly mission, follows by death. Then suddenly, tragedy strike and she lost all her heavenly mounted treasure. This story entails that you might also lose all you entire earthly created and mounted treasure in heaven if you are not careful with your spiritual life.

Esther is a very gentle and easy going woman, who always tried to avoid trouble at any cost. She is a child of God, and very devoted to the work of the Lord. Esther was working with Lagos state government as a Clean-way (Cleaner). One day her pastor called her and said, we were planning to employ someone that will be cleaning up the church before the service, but as we were disusing the issue, the spirit of the Lord ask me to give that assignment to you, that you should be the one to do work of the sanitary in the Church. Esther agrees and for more than three years, she was doing this for God. Even before anyone arrived in the church, everywhere is tidy already and without any pays-wages or return. But she was always doing this work cheerful and happy for the Lord.

One Sunday morning, she overslept and quickly rushed to the church to clean it up before the service will commence. Then a lady entered the church while she was still sweeping the church and said rudely. Woman, is this the time you are suppose to be sweeping the church when the service is about to start? Is this how you take care of your home? I wonder how you will be taking care of your family? if you will be working like this in the house of God. No wonder you have not be progressing in life, 4 years you are still on a spot, sweeping when your mate are driving jeep. Will you hurry up and finish up the cleaning before the service start she shouted.

Esther was very shocked to hear these things, then she dropped the broom and leave the church. The church was left untied and when people started coming for service, they were surprised to see things untied. They couldn’t see Esther in the church service.  Then after the service, the pastor sent for her to find out what happened, after then the pastor encourage her to ignore the word of the lady and keep working for God.

She said, I can never continue sweeping for the church. What kind of insult is that? Am I working for gain? Please pastor, leave me alone and beside, I don’t think I can continue coming to that church. I’m avoiding trouble. Two week after, Esther died. She died and appear before God’s throne, and her name was not found in the book of the Lamb. Why Lord, then God said to her. I called you to be sweeping my house, and you left my work because someone insulted you. Two things removed your name from the book of the lamb. 

You fail to settled matter quickly with your adversary and you neglect the work I have committed into thy hand, come let me showed you what could have being your reward if you have finished up the race.  Brethren, Esther Mansion was even bigger than that of her pastor, because, she had nothing to offer, but she offer her service for the work of God, but she let Satan to distract her. She plead for mercy but was not shown any mercy, for the judgement has being set. Then a voice asked her to depart, and she end up in hell.

Jeremiah 48:10 “Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully. Beloved, Have you in any-way stop working for God i any department you where appointed in the Church, or have you left your church because someone insulted you? Have you stop attending your church house fellowship, because someone lied or wrongly accused you in the fellowship? Have you left your church because your pastor corrected or rebuked you publicly and you take it as embarrassment? Have you stop being an usher, choir or any departmental group in the church, because one of the members of the same group or department disrespected and discouraged you.

If you will not be insulted for working for God, then where do you want to be insulted? You have stopped preaching the gospel, doing morning cry, bus evangelizing and even on face-book or other social media, the easiest and cheapest place to preached the gospel. But because someone rubbish your post, you stopped it. Do you want devil to prevail?

We are not all call to be a Pastor. Every part of the body of Christ have it own function. If everybody will be a pastor, then who will be the congregation? Who will be the usher and who will drum the beat? Who will do the engineering work and who will teach the children class?

Whenever your pastor choose you for a work in the house of God, take it with joy and do it whole-kindheartedly. Many has rejected God unknowingly, or your pastor place you on suspension, and you leave the church because of that? Go back and finish it up. Because whatsoever is bind on earth is also bind in heaven. Unless the pastor who place you on suspension loose it, you have no right to leave for another church. The Lord has blessed you with riches, and you are the only rich man in your church, then the Lord purposely placed you there so as to help his work financially.

Nothing that you will give to the lord that will be in vein, any gift you gave out is been documented in a special record book of your earthly account or journey.

1 Corinthian 3: 13 “Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.  Once you died and you will found yourself before the judgment, there will be a box that is written all your work. And the box will pass trough a fire, and will burn down the box and a reward, may be crown of gold or something else will reviewed. But if the box burnt away and nothing shows up, then you have no reward.

Are you doing the work of God whole-kindheartedly? You have stop preaching the gospel because someone insulted you? You stop preaching because someone said, you can’t speak English? You have stop sharing your testimony, because people call you an agents of darkness, spitting lies from bottom of hell? Who are you to obey? God or human?

Do you think it was your pastor who called you? OK. Let’s prove it. Let’s look at Elijah and the Widow, and I want you to mark a word there. 1 King 17:9 “Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I HAVE COMMANDED A WIDOW WOMAN THERE TO SUSTAIN THEE. Hope you knew the story? 

The woman may be looking at Elijah that it was Elijah that commanded her, but it was directed by God. God did called her without knowing. Never you think it was your pastor who called you to be an usher, never think it was your pastor who called you to be choir or sent you on God’s mission. The work of God must be done whole-kindheartedly and orderly in one body of Christ, for the expansion of the gospel.

Many People Have Already Had Their Reward Here On Earth

Matthew 6: 19 “Lay not up for yourselves treasure upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt and where thieves break through steal. You had been sent into this earth for a special reason and purpose having a pleasant talent or gift to impact to the Church and every souls. But if you decided to go against such plans of God. Properly due to selfish interest, gain or worldly pleasure’s of life.

Then you will be laying-down treasure on earth for yourself and you will have nothing to received after your earthly ministry journey. because you would had reap all your worldly gain and reward and have nothing left above. Which might even caused your chance of making heaven, because heaven is for prepared brethren with divine focus and heavenly vision.

You called yourself an instrumentalist, yet a Christians, and the church you are attending pay you salaries for the instrument you play. You have your reward already here on earth. Are you a gospel singer? Whenever they call you for a crusade You will first charge the church some bills all in the name of glorifying God. Forgetting That God dwells in the praise’s of his people, you are working for yourself and not God.

You called yourself a preacher of the gospel, but your duties is to charge for people after preaching the gospel, this is not exaggeration but what I have seen very well, after the preaching you charge people to bring money to help the work of God. What work of God? You have your reward already here on earth. This remind me the observation and remark made by a beloved brother of mine, He said and i quote.

Some establish church for earthly gain and selfish interest, some preach for selfish interest and have made God their belly. That is the reasons you see preachers in commercial vehicles after preaching they will ask for money for transport, sow seed in their life. Those that don’t even go to church will forge one church name and ask you to support their building project, Oh God! Have mercy some don’t know what it means to live a crucified Christian life.

I remembered vividly some years back I was traveling. I stood up to preach, a young man at the back seat was giving me signal not to preach nor continue preaching because his intention also was to preach. I did not mind him I kept on preaching, he kept on disturbing me to round off, Okay, I decided to shorten the message, and then pray.

But the passengers appeared to be worried when they saw another preacher. To my greatest surprise he told the passengers that after hearing from me they need to hear a message about baptism. I know that all his target/focus was on the money he will extort from the passengers. After his message he started painting the foreheads of some passengers with anointing oil and to share envelopes.

If your ministry is to preach in buses and to extort money all in the name of offering then let it be known to you today that you don’t have a ministry, and you are receiving your heavenly reward here on earth. Which means you have no reward in Heaven. Because your selfish interest have destroyed the heavenly treasures and heavenly gain. When you put your focus on Heavenly gains and treasures you will have peace, Joy and happiness.
