Deliverance
Deliverance from a spiritual outlook I’ll say is the freedom from evil spirits that dwells within human beings, it also means to be rescued from satanic bondages and release from evil covenants.
EVIL Spirits are demonic forces from the kingdom of darkness that normally enter people in order to get a body to operate. They love to make covenants with human beings and normally does this in the dream or physically.
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.
For many, deliverance is considered as liberation from demons ONLY for people who are insane and people that act violently. This is far from the truth as there is much more to deliverance than what we think. Deliverance is for everyone as the scripture emphatically says in:
Psalm 55:5
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceived me.
One may say, “I grew up in church and was an active member in Sunday/Sabbath school so it’s impossible for me to be possessed/oppressed.” We are far from the truth and I will share part of my personal testimony.
I remember getting saved at the age of fourteen (14) and whenever the anointing of the Lord came upon me I felt like vomiting. I never knew what was happening. Later on after I grew spiritually and realized that it was a demons that was living inside of me and I needed deliverance. Thankfully, after deliverance it’s stopped. I was never taught that Christians needed to be delivered. It must be taken into serious consideration that before one gets saved they usually indulge in sinful activities and it must be noted that every sin attracts a different kind of spirit. I must add that not because you are saved means you are delivered.
Numerous times I see people accepting Jesus Christ as their personal saviour then after some time they would go back to their old ways. What is happening there? Well because the evil spirit that was there is still there and is still fighting to regain control. These new Christians would end up going back to their past life feeling ashamed and defeated. People may say, “I knew it was a pretense” but this is not so. What we fail to understand as Christians is that, after a person accepts Jesus Christ, Satan is angry and bitter. Let’s say Maria was involved in prostitution and she accepts Jesus Christ, Satan wants to immediately get Maria distracted. He will use the demons that are inside her to torment her, he’ll remind her of her past and may tempt her financially so that she will go back to her old ways. He may use sexually urges to frustrate her and would undoubtedly send flash back of her pass life. The truth is, Maria have not yet learned how to remind Satan of his future, after all she is a baby in Christ and doesn’t know how Satan operates. Satan would send his monitoring demons to monitor her progress however Maria is not cognizant of all this information. Whenever Christ is accepted by an individual, Satan does not rest, immediately that individual is thrown into spiritual warfare without all the proper tools and gears. We all know that we wrestle not against flesh and blood.
Ephesians 6:12
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places
Satan’s tactic is to use the very same demons that are inside to destroy and torment those individuals. If one is delivered after being baptized and generational curses and covenants are broken then that individual has a better chance of surviving because the doorways are closed. Satan can only regain entrance through sinful activities. Whether or not we want to be attached to Satan he will always try to attach himself to us in order to pollute and gain access. I cannot emphasize any more that it is of vital importance that new converts are fed properly with the word of God. Scriptures should be explained and their lives must be saturated with the word of God. Whenever one is living a new life for Jesus Christ they are targeted by the kingdom of darkness. Whenever someone has accepted Jesus Christ and is willing to follow Jesus, a soul is released and the angels rejoice at the repentance of that sinner.
Luke 15:7
Likewise I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”
It’s however the opposite in Satan’s kingdom. He laments and mourns the loss of anyone who is released from darkness. Satan’s ambition is to kill, steal and destroy but through the blood of Jesus Christ comes deliverance to set the captives free.
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Once a person accepts Jesus Christ they should know that they are being entered into spiritual warfare and they need the ARMOR of God in order to be successful. Most importantly, they should be delivered completely so that they are not attached to the kingdom of darkness. A lot of Christians are deceived into thinking that they are in the marvelous light of Jesus Christ when the ugly truth is, they are tied up in the Kingdom of darkness. Christians who are not delivered would find it very hard to live physically and spiritually or to live to their full potential as God intended because they are not free from satanic bondages and evil covenants.
Proverbs 11:9
An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
I have seen folks struggle for years with the same situation where they repeatedly commit the same sin and fall into the web of lies of Satan.
Once I had a vision where a carpet was presented before me and a broom was used to sweep a particular place and the dust was continually being shoved under the carpet and when weight was applied or the carpet was moved or pressed on, the dust would automatically come up and cause the place to be extremely dusty.
He then revealed to me that this is a common practice amongst the people of God and because of lack of knowledge his people suffer. He further explained that, situations are just shoved under the carpet instead of it being dealt with. He continued to explain that if a particular person keeps falling into a particular sin, it means that they need deliverance.
He expounded that PRAYER is good but he said after deliverance the individual will be better able to overcome their trials and their burdens effectively. He specifically said that we need to deal with the root cause of the problem and get that demon out of our lives once and for all.
NB: After deliverance, one will be tempted by the devil but by meditating on the word day and night, walking in obedience, following instructions and surrounding oneself with the right people, they will maintain their deliverance.
NB: If you listen to Satan’s suggestions you will be defeated and this is a fact not a suggestion.
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
